When you receive a suspicious email, there are three simple steps:

1.) Forward it to scamcheck@scamcheck.me just like you would forward any other email. Almost every email program or system has a button for forwarding messages, and in most cases the button resembles an arrow pointing to the right, such as →. For best results, do not add or change any text in the email you are forwarding. Also be sure you are forwarding messages from the same email address you used when you signed up.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you receive more than one suspicious email from the same sender, we strongly recommend forwarding the first (or earliest) one so you get the most accurate analysis.

2.) Our system will analyze the message. This process usually takes around 5-10 minutes.

3.) You will receive an email analysis containing a score and recommended course of action. Be sure to check your “junk” or “spam” folder if you don’t see the reply in your inbox.
